Important Update: Report on 10/28 Glory of God prayer meeting

*"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in
the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but
I found none" * Ezekiel 22:30

*"Blow the trumpet in Zion....Who knows if He will turn and relent and leave
a blessing behind"* Joel 2:14

*"To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him
we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we
may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus" *Col 1:27,28

Yesterday we had our fourth Glory of God on Cape Cod corporate prayer
meeting at First Light Church in Chatham. We discussed the urgency of our
times, and how today we find ourselves as God's people in a nation/culture
that has forsaken it's Godly heritage, and turned it's back on God
saying, *"Depart
from us, for we do not desire the knowledge of your ways" *Job 21:14. Laws
are being passed one after the other, that are against God's moral code for
humanity, and others are being proposed to silence the witness of the Church
and facilitate it's persecution.

Our nation which was founded on Godly principles has broken it's covenant
with God and is now one of the nations spoken of in Psalm 2: 1-3 *"Why do
the nations rage....against the Lord and against His anointed, saying 'Let
us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their (moral) restrains from
us.." *We find ourselves as God's people in a nation/culture that rejects
God's definition of marriage, of life, and casts away His moral code. This
has been our nation's stance for some time now. W know that God is long
suffering, slow to anger, delights in mercy, and gives us time to repent.
But we also know from scripture that if we did not respond to His mercy, and
if His kindness did not lead us to repentance, that *there comes a time
where our cup of iniquity is full and we then are subject to His redemptive,
loving chastisment/judgments.*

We know clearly from scripture that this stance puts our nation on a
collision course with God, the Holy One! But we also know from scripture
that as God's people, we can stand in the gap for this land and ask for
mercy. God's word tells us that if there was enough righteousness in Sodom
and Gomorah He would have spared it. 2 Chron 7:14 tells us that *God's
people's response to Him holds the key to healing their land.*

In view of the above, as God's people we cannot ignore that and live *as if
everything is just fine*. At a similar time of spiritual slumber in
Israel's history
the scripure say *" He (God) saw that there was no man (to stand in the gap)
and was astonished that there was no intercessor.." *Isaiah 59:16

The prophet Joel in the above verse tells His people at the time, that it is
*either judgement (which is always redemptive) or spiritual awakening.*
**
Similarly, we need to rise up as God's people, to stand in the gap for this
land and have a spiritual awakening in the church that spills into a great
harvest. We can do that by fully turning to the Lord in humility, repentance
and intercession, by the grace of Christ in us, the hope of Glory.

Our meeting yesterday was a powerful ferevent one, where all in attendence
were engaged in ferevent prayer. Once again pastors and believers from many
different churches across the Cape came from as far west as Falmouth, to as
far east as Truro, despite the rainy weather, to come and stand in the gap
before the Lord!. It was an awesome meeting with a sweet sense of the
Presence of God. We sensed God's pleasure over the meeting. More churches
who normally have their own Wednesday evening meeting cancelled their
meeting, and the pastors came along with some members of their own
congregation to stand together with the rest of the body of Christ as one.
Others who normally have home groups on Wednesday evenings cancelled their
home groups and came to join in prayer as well. We all prayed in one accord,
and stood in the gap for Cape Cod. Our prayer focus was from the above
verses, praying for the mercy of God on our nation, and a spiritulal
awakening in the body of Christ on Cape Cod and this nation, resulting in a
great harvest.
