The Glory of God Cape Cod: February 13, 2008 update & call for a Cape-wide fast

Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of
your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your
stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your
descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited."
*Isaiah 54: 2,3

Today again pastors and leaders from across the Cape and from diverse
denominational backgrounds met to continue to pray for the vision that the
Lord deposited in our hearts, a vision of His Glory in our midst and the
subsequent outbreak of revival.

Today we discussed the fact that we, together with many in the body of
Christ across the globe, share a witness of the Holy Spirit that the *Lord
is doing something fresh among His church*. The Lord is *calling His remnant
*everywhere, and awakening us, telling us not to waste any more time in the
wilderness, but to go on to the promised land. *His promised land for us is
His Glory in our midst*, where we experience His manifest Presence. This was
on God's heart from the beginning, to dwell among His people, as far back as
when He commanded Moses to build the Tabernacle. *"And let them make Me a
sanctuary that I may dwell among them" *Exodus 25:8

The leadership team/steering committee of the Glory of God on Cape Cod
vision is calling for a *three day fast *prior to the Mid-Cape Gathering, to
seek the Face of the Lord together. We are going to fast from Thursday
morning 2/21 and break our fast after the gathering.

Please encourage your brothers and sisters on the Cape to join us at the
upcoming *Mid-Cape gathering, Sat, Feb 23, at the Cape Cod Community
College, from 3-6 pm*. *The meeting will be at the Tilden Art Center.*
is still open on our website: **** Please put
this info on your Sunday church bulletins and on your church website.*

The gathering will be primarily worship and prayer, interspersed with brief
sharing/impartation of key principles for the Glory of God in our midst:

a. Intimacy with God, which is the foundation of it all :It is
the realization/revelation of God's love for us that compels us to respond
to Him, that 'we love Him because He loved us first'
b. Holiness in the context of (a.) above :Our obedience is motivated
by, and is an expression of, our love for God

c. Our role as 'watchmen' in Prayer and Intercession: ' *I have set
watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem (equivalent to Cape Cod for us), They
shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord,
do not keep silent, and give Him no rest, till He establishes Jerusalem a
praise in the earth (equivalent to till He manifests His Glory in our midst
on the Cape)'. *Isaiah 62:67

We look forward to seeing you at the Gathering.
