The Glory of God on Cape Cod: January 28, 2009 update

*"Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and note it on a scroll. that it
may be for time to come, forever and ever:That this is a rebellious people,
lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the Lord;who say to
the seers,'Do not see', and to the prophets,'Do not prophecy to us right
things;**prophecy deceits.Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, Cause
the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.'Therefore thus says the Holy
One of Israel:'Because you despise this word....therefore this iniquity
shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, a bulge in a high wall,
whose breaking
comes suddenly in an instant. And He shall break it like the breaking of the
potter's vessel, which is broken in pieces.....'*
*For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel:'In returning and rest
you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength...'
" *Isaiah 30:8-15

*"Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written
for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come." *
1 Cor 10:11

Today pastors and leaders from across the Cape and across denominational
lines, met again to pray for the vision that the Lord deposited in our
hearts, a vision of His Glory in our midst and the subsequent outbreak of

In the above passage from Isaiah, the people of God dismissed His warnings
to them through His prophets and seers. They did not want to hear His truth
and His word to them at the time. Despising the word of the Lord to them
cost them their destruction.

Similarly, the Holy Spirit is sounding to us today about both a coming
storm, a time of difficulty, and simultaneously a time of God's glory in our
midst, with a subsequent outbreak of revival and a great harvest (Isaiah
60). This witness of the Holy Spirit, is not coming through one or two
eccentric voices in the land, but is shared by many from different streams
across the body of Christ in America and elsewhere. His word to us at this
hour is "returning" and "rest"; times of seeking His Face, a critical time
of listening to His voice saying *"This is the way, walk in in" *Isaiah
