|The Glory of God on Cape Cod: November 12, 2008 update|
** Today pastors and leaders from across the Cape and across denominational
lines, met again to pray for the vision that the Lord deposited in our
hearts, a vision of His Glory in our midst and the subsequent outbreak of
*"...I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss.....When
the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their desire,
putting out to sea, they sailed......but not long after, a tempestuous head
wind arose.....now when neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no
small tempest beat on us, all hope that we would be saved was finally given
up.....then Paul stood in the midst and said...."For there stood by me this
night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying 'Do not
be afraid ,Paul.....God has granted you all those who sail with you'

immovable, but the stern was being broken up by the violence of the waves."

The verses above from the book of Acts tells a story relevant to our times.
The sailors have been warned by Paul but they didn't heed his warning. They
initially thought they got their way, but soon found out that the coming
storm was even greater than the contrary wind they faced earlier (Acts
Nevertheless, God who is abundant in grace, and delights in mercy, did not
leave them, but saved their lives. Their ship was wrecked and they lost
everything in it, but they were saved.
Similarly, the Lord has raised many voices across this land warning and
blowing the trumpet, calling His people to repentance, to whole hearted
return to Him. Only the remnant few heeded the call. Now we are facing
contrary wind, and many across the land share the witness of the Holy Spirit
that there is coming a greater storm. However, the Lord will preserve us in
this coming storm, even if we sustain material losses, which are temporal
and perishing anyway.
In the Daniel verses above, the stone is the Kingdom of God, where we
belong. We need to shift our paradigm and alien our thoughts with God and
His word. God's agenda is not necessary to preserve America as the
wealthiest and greatest nation on earth. It is for His Kingdom to fill the
earth, and for the name of Jesus to be exalted and His glory to cover the
earth, as water covers the sea.
