The Glory of God on Cape Cod: October 29, 2008 update

Today pastors and leaders from across the Cape and across denominational
lines, met again to pray for the vision that the Lord deposited in our
hearts, a vision of His Glory in our midst and the subsequent outbreak of

*Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb
has come, and His bride has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to
be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the
righteous acts of the saints." Rev 19:7-8* **
*"Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven
from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband" *Rev. 21:2

Today pastor Paul Jehle talked about the above verses which speak of
the *Church's
identity*, our call as the body of Christ. *The bride speaks of our
relationship to Christ*. We are the bride of Christ and He is our
bridegroom. We are called to be a faithful bride, with one God, one love,
our Lord Jesus Christ.

The* holy city speaks of our relationship to the world*. We are in the world
but not of the world. We are called to be salt and light, to influence the
world and not be conformed to its sinful ways.

What happens when the bride of Christ goes after many lovers? when she runs
after the gods of this world--after materialism, pleasure, and love of the
world? She becomes the harlot of Hosea 2. Instead of her being arrayed in
fine linen, clean and bright, her garments become soiled.

What does God do to make his bride ready? *He brings redemptive
judgment **"Therefore,
behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and wall her in, **so she
cannot find her paths...Then she will say, I will go and return to my first
husband, For then it was better for me than now" *Hosea 2:6,7.

We continue to witness history in the making. In one week, the U.S.
government now owns majority share of our banks, in essence nationalizing
our banking system. Governments around the globe have done the exact same
thing. One can't help but wonder, is it possible that this a preparatory
step for one world government, setting the beginning stage for end time
events unfolding, with the eventual emerging of the Anti-Christ?

We live in sober times indeed. *Our safety now and in the times to come* is
to break all agreement with darkness in our lives and align our lives
rightly with God. That is the essence of holiness.
*"Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you
receive of her plagues." *Revelations 4:18 is a very relevant scripture to
our times.
