The Glory of God on Cape Cod: Watch and See: June 10, 2009

*"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who
promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up
love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as
in the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as
you see the Day approaching" *Hebrews 10:23-25

*"I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what
He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the Lord
answered me and said:'Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he
may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time;but at the
end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it;
because it will surely come. it will not tarry" *Habakkuk 2:1-3

Dear friends,

Today we shared about our continuing sense that it is the Lord who birthed
this vision in our hearts, and we continue to have a witness of the Holy
Spirit to it. We collectively sense that we are in a season of responding to
what the Lord has deposited in our hearts so far. We responded to His
prompting to gather before Him at the Cape Cod Sacred Assembly in 2007, and
we are responding by praying every other Wednesday. Now we are responding by
taking this meeting to the local churches, and we share a collective witness
of the Holy Spirit that this is the direction the Lord is leading us to, at
this time. There is a good response from many pastors as well as from people
in different congregations to this.

Our next meeting will be an extended time of prayer, worship, and discussion
from 9 am -2 pm. We will share both breakfast and lunch together. We will
discuss the following:

1. The step of taking this meeting to the local churches and the logistics
involved: we will alternate between meeting here in Dennis as we have been
on Wednesday mornings and meeting at various local churches on Wednesday
evenings. Those meetings held at the churches will be open to all believers
on the Cape. They will have the same format as Wednesday morning. I will
M.C. them with the pastors in the same manner the meetings are held here.
They will have brief time of sharing ,worship, and prayer. The churches that
currently have regular Wednesday prayer meetings will take that format for
that particular time they are hosting. Other churches would merge their own
prayer meetings with that particular one. Example: Pastor A has a weekly
Wednesday prayer meeting. On a Wednesday that Pastor B is hosting our prayer
meeting, Pastor A would take his Wednesday group and they all join in prayer
at Pastor B's church. This way, every month we have a Cape-wide prayer
meeting held at a different church.

2. Evaluating the state of preparedness of the body of Christ on Cape Cod to
move in areas of regional evangelistic efforts, feeding the poor, caring for
those in need, and doing what Jesus did and commanded us to do.
