Update and Next Glory of God All-Cape Inter Church Prayer Meeting

"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold
their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep
silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem
a praise in the earth" Isaiah 62: 6,7*

*"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in
the breaking of bread and in continuing daily with one
accordin the temple...and
the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved" Acts

Yesterday we had our first Glory of God on Cape Cod corporate prayer meeting
at Living Hope Family Church in Hyannis. Pastors and believers from many
different churches across the Cape came from as far west as Pocasset, to as
far east as Chatham, packing the sanctuary of the church and overflowing to
a room on the second floor with a TV circuit. Some churches who normally
have their own Wednesday evening meeting cancelled their meeting, and the
pastors came along with some members of their own congregation to stand
together with the rest of the body of Christ as one. Others who normally
have home groups on Wednesday evenings cancelled their home groups and came
to join in prayer as well. We all prayed in one accord, and stood in the gap
for Cape Cod. Our prayer focus was two fold: Prayer for the body of Christ
across Cape Cod, and prayer for a great harvest that the Lord would give His
Church here.

Our next all Cape prayer meeting is on *Wednesday August 19th from 7pm-8pm,
at Gateway Christian Center in Mashpee, MA*. Please arrive at 6:30 pm for
parking, seating and fellowship time so we can start the meeting promptly at
7 pm. For directions, please see We encourage you to
come and stand with us in one accord in prayer for the Cape. This is
pleasing to the Lord.

The premise of these meetings in that *prayers give birth to the purposes of
God*. This does not contradict the sovereignty of God. We are not trying to
convince God to do something He is reluctant to do (revival on the Cape), it
is Him who put these prayers in our hearts to begin with. It is Him who
raises watchmen and instructs us not to keep silent as in Isaiah's verse
above. It is Him who commanded us to pray without ceasing, and to ask, seek,
and knock. It is Him who said in James, "You have not because you ask not".

Please review the attached Word document "Corporate Cape Cod Prayer booklet"
if you haven't already. It articulates the vision and values of these
corporate prayer meetings. These meetings will rotate from church to church
on the Cape every month. *If your church would like to host one of these
meetings, please e-mail us.* Also attached is a poster for the next event
that you can use in your church bulletin to let your people know about the
next meeting.

Please spread the word about these meetings in your own circle to those who
don't know about them, so we can all come together in prayer as one.

We look forward to seeing you next mnth.
