August meeting in Truro

by Sheldon Clarkson on August 4, 2011

 Dear Brother and Sisters,

It's hard to believe that a year has passed since approximately 100 of God's people came to the Chapel on the Pond in North Truro to pray for the new work that God was beginning on the Outer Cape. The two things that impressed me from that meeting were the passion of the people for revival in our area, and a word of encouragement from a dear sister who cited Jeremiah 2:13. She said that the cisterns that once held living water were broken, and that a new cistern needed to be hewed out of an area that is hardened to the gospel.
I would like to report to you that God is indeed doing a new work in and through Outer Cape Christian Church. Living water is now available to people seeking truth and food for the soul every Sunday and at the Bible studies. Living water is flowing to the streets of Provincetown on Tuesday nights and to the streets of Truro and Wellfleet as we strive to be a good neighbor to the people in our community.
The churches referred to in the New Testament were distinct bodies of Christ, and yet they shared the the same foundation of faith that was being built upon the ministry of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. We share the oneness that those churches shared; one body, one Holy Spirit, one hope, one Lord., one faith, one baptism, and one Father. Please join us in the spirit of those brethren who paved the way for concern, unity and solidarity for one another. Your prayers and your presence is coveted on Wednesday night, August 24th. We will begin to gather at 6:30, with our prayer meeting beginning at 7 P.M.
Direction to Chapel on the Pond:
Take Route 6 towards Provincetown. At the Highland Road Exit in North Truro, go down the ramp and take a left onto Highland Road. Proceed to the stop sign and then go straight onto Pond Rd. The chapel is located at 22 Pond Rd, about 50 yards on the right. Please park on the right hand side of the road only as there is no off-road parking available.
Serving Christ Together,
Pastor Sheldon Clarkson
