Hello dear brothers and sisters. On February we had our first Joint Youth Night of Worship & Prayer.  That month it was just those of us from Mid Cape Worship Center, but God showed His powerful presence and one young lady made a profession of faith in our group prayer time after sharing about her struggles with suicide. It was then that I realized how deep a need there is among the youth on Cape Cod for the gospel. There are many girls and boys like her – we just need to find them.

Tonight, March 4th, we held our second gathering, with no less than 4 churches represented, and 2 girls for whom this was their very first church experience. We had a time of worship in song and then an "open-mic" opportunity for testimonies of praise and requests for prayer. The open mic was very touching as one girl, despite her expression of a fear of public speaking, was brave enough to share with us her very difficult circumstances. Following this time, we broke into two groups based on gender for prayer, praying for each other, our non believing friends, and we shared ideas as to what we could do practically to reach the lost. We believe it was our first step towards revival as Cape Cod youth, and we are willing to join forces in reaching the many teens and early twenties on Cape Cod who struggle with low self-esteem, depression, and thoughts of suicide.

Our Next Cape Cod Youth – Night of Worship and Prayer will be on April 6th. If a member of your youth group would like to join the worship team on that night or your group would like to lead/host the gathering, please do let me know. We feel the Nazarene church gym is an ideal, central setting, but we'd like for there to be as much collaborative community here as there is with the GOGoCC group.  You may not know this, but our church ties are quite varied (and thoroughly positive), partly as a result of our work at Trinity Christian Academy and partly as a result of other collaborative ministries (e.g. J1 Outreach). We want you to know that we are well aware that this group, and all the promise it holds, is not ours, nor the belonging of any particular church(es) – we're just getting it started. We hope your church will join with us in advancing God's glory and kingdom on Cape Cod through its young people.

Sincerely,
Andrew & Inna Taylor
