Invitation to the June GOGCC Prayer Meeting at Christ Chapel

by Michael Malanga on June 2, 2016

To Our Glory of God on Cape Cod Partners in Prayer,

With great hope in the gospel as the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, and on behalf of the congregation of Christ Chapel, it is my privilege to invite you to attend the next monthly prayer meeting of the Glory of God on Cape Cod to be held at Christ Chapel [1200 Old Stage Road, Centerville] on Wednesday, June 22nd from 6:30pm to 8pm.

This monthly gathering is a time for Christians, young and old, from various denominations, and across cultural/ethnic backgrounds, to unite in prayer for revival and awakening on the Cape.

The theme verse for the evening will be Philippians 1.27-3o ~

"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one Spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have.”

We will gather to pray for revival and awakening by standing firm in one Spirit, so that with one mind we may strive side by side for the faith of the gospel, and that we might not be frightened in anything as we pray for the Lord to open the hearts of men and women to the good news of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

“The influence of the Spirit of God is yet more abundantly manifest, if persons have their hearts drawn off from the world, and weaned from the objects of their worldly lusts, and taken off from worldly pursuits, by the sense they have of the excellency of divine things, and the affection they have to those spiritual enjoyments of another world, that are promised in the gospel.” ~ Jonathan Edwards, The Marks of a True Work of the Spirit

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ send His Spirit to help us be His witnesses so that with His help, peoples’ hearts may be drawn away from the attractions of this world to the surpassing excellencies of Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Kindest regards,

Michael Malanga,

Pastor, Christ Chapel
