Invitation to the October GOGCC Prayer Meeting at Heritage Christian Churchby Dan Lewiston on October 4, 2013
Good Evening Church! I pray this email finds your life full of Christ! Why, Church let me tell you that He is alive and well, and He is not dead, BUT ALIVE! I constantly think of the power of living for HIM!
What a great day of worship that the Church of Cape Cod experienced just 5 days ago! What a powerful sight and passionate feeling as we stood together in UNITY in Worship to the Creator of all things! I believe that God looked down on us with a huge smile as we stood together in “ONE HEART” to proclaim HIS LOVE in the public square! Let us look quickly to stand together again as HIS CHURCH!
I would like to invite you to our next Prayer Gathering at Heritage Christian Church on October 23, 2013 at 6:30 PM. Pastor Erik will be leading us in worship again on this night as we come together to worship and pray as Christ’s Church! We will have childcare provided for up to 50 kids ages 5 – 12, and a fully functional nursery for infants to 4 years old. All of our staff have been CORI’d and are ready to serve your families, as we gather to pray and worship! Let the young families come out for a refreshing night together of prayer and worship!
I would love to leave you with this encouragement from the Word, as we continue to prepare our hearts for what God has for Cape Cod. Found in Ezekiel 46:8-10 (NLT)
8 “The prince must enter the gateway through the entry room, and he must leave the same way. 9 But when the people come in through the north gateway to worship the Lord during the religious festivals, they must leave by the south gateway. And those who entered through the south gateway must leave by the north gateway. They must never leave by the same gateway they came in, but must always use the opposite gateway. 10 The prince will enter and leave with the people on these occasions.
Notice that when the “Prince” comes in, He leaves the same way – Heb. 13:8 “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!”
Notice that when the People come in from the South Gateway, they leave by the North Gateway. They never leave the same way they came after meeting with the Prince! - 2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV), “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
Notice that when they leave, the Prince leaves with the people – Col. 1:27 (NIV) “…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
When we come together with Jesus, He LOVES us, He CHANGES us, and then He SENDS us out with HIMSELF!
In the words of C.H. Spurgeon…
“Comfort yourselves with this word—Christ in you means you in glory, as surely us God lives! There is no question about that! Go your ways and rejoice in Christ Jesus and let men see who it is that lives in you! Let Jesus speak through your mouth, weep through your eyes and smile through your face! Let Him work with your hands and walk within your feet, and be tender with your heart. Let Him seek sinners through you! Let Him comfort saints through you until the day breaks and the shadows flee away!”
