Invitation to the September GOGCC Prayer Meeting at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship

by Mike Allen on September 2, 2014

Hey Brothers & Sisters,

Warm Greetings in the awesome name of Jesus!  Lighthouse Christian Fellowship would like to invite to the next Glory of God on Cape Cod prayer meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 24th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. For directions, please check out our website atwww.lighthousecapecod.org .

As we kick off a brand-new school year, I know that schedules get busy and new programs ramp up into full gear.  It can feel exciting but also overwhelming.  I urge you to set aside this last Wednesday of the month to join us as we gather with dozens of churches from all across Cape Cod to gather for corporate worship, prayer, repentance, and earnest intercession for God’s Spirit to move in mighty ways in our region.

Habakkuk 3:2 cries out to God, “LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy” (KJV).  I like the Message Version:  “GOD, I've heard what our ancestors say about you, and I'm stopped in my tracks, down on my knees. Do among us what you did among them. Work among us as you worked among them. And as you bring judgment, as you surely must, remember mercy.”

God has worked in mighty ways in the past and it is our prayer that we will see His amazing grace poured out in this region in our lifetime…  We believe NOW is the time.  As we learn from the likes of John Wesley, George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, and Charles Spurgeon, we know that it will only happen if it is “God-Powered.”  So, come together with like-minded believers who truly want to see the lost saved, the believers empowered, and above all, God glorified!
