Next Sunday 7/10/22: GOGCC Public Worship and Prayer Gathering at the Chatham Community Center Green

by The GOGCC team on July 5, 2022

Dear friends, Hope all is well with you and your families!  Looking forward to seeing you next Sunday 7/10/22, at our outdoor multi-church public worship and prayer gathering in Chatham: GOGCC Public Worship and Prayer Gathering Chatham Community Center Green 702 main Street Chatham, MA 02633 Sunday July 10, 2022 4-6 pm Join us and invite your friends so we can all come together before the Lord in united prayer. Here is the Facebook Event page link. It is remarkably significant when believers across churches come together in one voice, praying in unity, "Rend the heavens and come down, make Your name known on Cape Cod!" , "We have heard of Your works, repeat them in our day, on Cape Cod!", "Hallowed be Your name, on Cape Cod, Thy Kingdom come (expand) on Cape Cod, Thy will be done (People getting saved) on Cape Cod!". It happens every time. Consistently. Pastors and believers from different churches show up at these gatherings to pray in unity and the Lord signals His pleasure over this by showing up Himself and we encounter His presence. As you know in the 1800's, Cape Cod experienced a massive revival. It is fascinating that it  was characterized by unity among pastors and churches, and united multi-church prayer meetings.  The picture above depicts a Camp Meeting in Eastham, MA, as well as a newspaper clip about it, written apparently by a skeptic non-believer, though he couldn't help but write some interesting observations. Here is an excerpt from the above clip: "Our artist has given us here a very accurate view of the late camp meeting as it took place at Eastham, MA. The occasion called "TOGETHER", an immense body of people, many with the best of motives prompting them, many from mere curiosity.... Father Taylor, the worthy seamen's preacher was there, and the Bethel flag was conspicuous over the encampment. OVER FIFTY CLERGYMEN took part in the exercises, and everything seem to work harmoniously. OVER TWO HUNDRED SOULS WERE CONVERTED, says the published account, MANY BACKSLIDERS WERE RECLAIMED, and the SEVERAL CHURCHES were MUCH REVIVED and benefited....On Sunday, the great day of the meeting, OVER FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE were on the ground, and ALL SEEM TO BE S OLEMNLY IMPRESSED WITH THE RELIGIOUS SERVICES. The meeting, altogether, was considered MOST DELIGHTFUL AND SOUL INVIGORATING...." The Lord is once again visiting us on Cape Cod with the same stirring and inviting us to come together to pursue unity as pastors, leaders and churches and to TOGETHER mobilize His body to united prayer. Let's respond to the Lord's invitation, so He can do what He wants to do, and we can see a harvest of souls on the Cape like what happened in the 1800's. In Jonathan Edwards writings, the theme verse for the multi-church prayer meetings so that they all with one voice encourage one another and to come together in prayer was: "The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying,“ Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, And seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also.” (Zechariah 8:21) Here are some logistical points for the gathering: 1. Plan to arrive by 3:30 pm (make time for summer traffic), so you can park, get settled and we can all start worshiping together promptly at 4 pm. 2. This Google Map Link should take you right to the parking lot of where we are gathering. 3. Bring your own lawn chairs and sunglasses. 4. In the event of rain, the gathering will be moved indoors to Redemption Rock Church in Chatham. Check the Facebook event page and the GOGCC website under events for an update on the venue if it is raining. 5. We want to be a good witness to the community and leave the place clean. Several pastors are graciously volunteering to bring 6 trash cans to place in different parts of the pier for that purpose. The statement below summarizes why we gather as regional leaders and churches, and why we do what we do: We gather in response to the Lord's stirring us with His desire to show His glory in our midst, and the subsequent spiritual awakening/revival on Cape Cod, with multitudes coming to Christ. By pursuing unity/oneness, consecration (walking in the fear of the Lord), and united prayer, we prepare ourselves for what God wants to do in our midst. "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool, what kind of a house will you (plu ral) build for Me, or where is the place of My rest?" Acts 7:49 "In whom the whole building, being fitted together grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you (plural) are also being built together for a dwelling place of God (The Manifest presence of God) in the Spirit." Ephesians 2:21,22 Looking forward to seeing you Sunday!
