Report on GOGCC Prayer Meeting in Truro
by Sheldon Clarkson on September 29, 2012
Dear Brothers and Sister,
I am pleased to report that the Spirit of
God moved in the midst of the 70 odd prayer warriors who made the trip to North
Truro for September's all cape GOGCC prayer meeting. The message brought by
Pastor Earl Roberts challenged the assembled brethren to take up the mantle, as
it were, of past revival leaders in New England and fan the flames of revival
once again. Those bold and godly leaders of the past have passed on to glory,
but we are here in this time and place to utilize that same power of the Holy
Spirit that was unleashed in their day to not only usher in revival but another
Great Awakening. One aspect of revival that the Spirit brought to the fore last
Wednesday was the fact that evangelism goes hand in hand with revival. To that
end, we dedicated prayer time to those the Spirit brought to mind who need to
know the saving grace of Jesus, and for the Lord to make those divine
appointments when we might share the gospel. A personal testimony by a new
sister in Christ highlighted the need for evangelism.
The
next GOGCC prayer meeting is October 24th at Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church in
Brewster. Start time is 7 p.m. Please see their website at www.ccbac.org for directions.
Serving
God together for His greater glory,
Pastor
