Report on the August GOGCC Prayer Meeting at Cape Cod Bible Alliance

by Myron Heckman on August 26, 2016
Dear friends of our prayer movement,

When we gather to pray together,
we pray prayers we wouldn't otherwise pray
we consider Scriptures we wouldn't otherwise ponder
we have thoughts of God we wouldn't otherwise think
we meet and speak with people we wouldn't otherwise see
we sing lyrics and melodies and harmonies we wouldn't otherwise sing
Last evening's monthly prayer gathering was at Cape Cod Bible Alliance in Brewster.
People drove from as far away as Buzzards Bay to join in the prayers, whether done in unison, by giving an "amen", in small groups, or individually at a microphone. We follow in the footsteps of the mother church in Jerusalem that prayed "in one accord."
Daniel prayed for God to revitalize His people and Daniel had an unexpected motivation - it is for the sake of God and His name (His honor and His fame) Daniel 9:19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”
We prayed last night that we would see revival in the church and spiritual awaking in our communities and nation that God's name may be known as glorious in our land.
