Report on the August GOGCC Prayer Meeting at OCCC in Truro

by Sheldon Clarkson on August 28, 2014
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
If you were at last evening's Glory of God on Cape Cod monthly prayer meeting in North Truro, then you experienced the palpable presence of the Holy Spirit upon that gathering.  It was a unique meeting in that Outer Cape Christian Church hosted the meeting, but Faith Assembly of God Church from Hyannis led in the musical aspect of our worship.  There is no doubt that the principalities and powers were put on notice that the gates of hell will never, ever prevail against the Anointed One's church.  We learned a lesson from the pear tree on the property of the Chapel on the Pond and from the parable of a fig tree in Luke 13 that fruit for the kingdom will be produced when the vines (the sin and the things of this world that entangle us) are stripped away through confession and repentance.   For the tree (each individual believer and corporate bodies of Christ) to produce the expected fruit, it must be nurtured by the living waters of the Spirit and  by the Word of God.  Jesus hasn't returned a second time in part because he is patient with those who need to repent, but the time is short.  Revival will be a realization of the fruit that will be borne from each individual tree as God's people (and churches) are wholly sold-out and committed to the work of expanding the kingdom of God..
Next month's meeting will be held on Wednesday evening, September 24th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Sandwich.
Serving together for God's greater glory,
Pastor Sheldon
