Dear brothers and sisters,

Last night was a night of blessing and refreshment in the midst of a busy and trying season. Yesterday was the second night of Hannukah and we talked about Jesus being the Light who lights all lights as symbolized in the menorah.

Pastors led in prayer for blessings among all churches present and for revival on Cape Cod. The worship and prayer times were fulfilling.

We were encouraged by a scripture from Jeremiah 1:10 (See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant) and Matthew 18:18 (Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven). Jeremiah did not fulfill God's call on this assignment by having an army, but by prophecying over the nations i.e. praying/declaring the heart  of God over the nations. God then acted to raise kingdoms and uproot kingdoms. Jesus taught us about the authority in prayer that He gave His people. God takes great interest in prayer meetings, and He sovereignly chooses to give birth to His purposes through the prayers of His people.

We then broke into small groups and prayed for Christ, the Light of the world, to shine His light on Cape Cod with an outpouring of His Holy Spirit. My hope is that you left as refreshed and enlivened to tackle the rest of this season with joy and gusto!

Let us continue to pray in unity God's heart and purposes for Cape Cod.

We hope you join us next meeting 1/28/15 at Osterville Baptist Church : Home

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
