Report on the Janaury GOGCC Gathering at IPR Cape Cod Church

by The GOGCC team on February 1, 2022

"The Lord is my song" (Exodus 15:2, Psalm 118:14)
Dear friends,

Greetings in the beautiful and mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Last Wednesday 1/26/22 people from different churches, denominations, ethnic groups, and generations, gathered together to exalt our Lord Jesus with one voice, and pray in one accord for our beloved Cape Cod.

The theme of our gathering was "The Lord is my song".
The Old Testement book,The Song of Songs, is the story about a King and His bride. Many scholars throughout history, before and after the Reformation, considered it to be a prophetic/poetic book about Christ and the Church. Jesus is the song that we sing. He is our song. He is the song of songs, who is worthy of all honor, all worship, all glory, worthy to live for, and worthy to die for.
We gathered together to give Him the honor that He is due both in worship songs and in prayer.

Pastor Marcelo Franco and the IPR Church worship team led us in extended annointed worship, and the presence of God was self-evident to all in attendence. Pastor Marcelo Pretti shared an encouraging word from the Scriptures about "The Lord is my strength and my song" and reminded us that we face spiritual warfare in that the enemy resists and works against the unity of the body of Christ on Cape Cod. He reminded us that we must be aware of that and stand against it in prayer, and respond in obedience to the Lord pursuing unity in the body.

We spent the remaining time in prayer mixed with worship songs. Different people came upfront to lift up the name of the Lord in prayer, and pray for our beloved Cape Cod.

We will gather again next month on February 23rd to do the same at Gateway Christian Center in Cotuit.
