Report on the January GOGCC at Mid-Cape Worship Center

"And Isaac dug again the wells of water which  they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham." Genesis 26:18
Dear brothers and sisters,
We had a powerful prayer meeting last evening at Mid-Cape Worship Center. Fourteen pastors, as well as many Christians from various churches and different denominations across the Cape, came together to pray in unity for spiritual awakening and revival in this land. We remembered Cape Cod's spiritual heritage, and  how it was once mightily touched by a move of God.
In the 1800's, Christian camp meetings took place in many places across the Cape, including Craigville (At the Craigville Taberancle which was dedicated in 1887), Yarmouth, Truro, and other places. In fact, Craigville was named after a preacher,  Dr. J. Austin Craig.
And like the Philistines stopped the old wells that once flowed with sweet waters in Abraham's time, the enemy came and temporarily stopped the wells of revival on Cape Cod. However, the Lord is stirring us all to rise up together, stand in the gap for this land by united prayer, to re-dig the old spiritual wells of this region, and once again see the Glory of God in our midst, and the subsequent revival on Cape Cod.
Pastor Myron Heckman talked about one of the critical ingredients in order for God to be glorified in us and revival to take place: Unity among believers of all different backgrounds (Ethnic/denominational/social/ generations). This comes through the power of Christ.
It is through Him that "The Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel." Ephesians 3:6. "There is one body and one Lord, one faithone baptism, one God and Father of all.."Ephesians 4:4.
As we labor to walk in, and preserve that unity , the scriptures says that, "The manifoldwisdom of God might be made known through the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord." Ephesians 3:10-11
The meeting included anointed worship time, open mic prayer, small group prayer, and pastors' prayer.
Our next meeting will be on Feb 24 at Living Hope Family Church:
So join us there, let your friends know that you are going, and invite them to join you! The Second Great Awakening was marked by united multi-church prayer meetings, and in Jonathan Edwards's writings he says that a key verse for those prayer meetings was Zechariah 8:21 "The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying,'Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, and seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also."
Looking forward to seeing you next month!
