Report on the July GOGCC Worship and Prayer Gathering at the Chatham Community Center Green
by The GOGCC team on July 19, 2022
Dear friends, On Sunday 7/10/22 people from different churches, denominations, ethnic groups and generations, gathered together at the Chatham Community Center Green for a time of united worship and prayer. The gathering started by Pastor Mike Pratt of Redemtion Rock Church in Chatham welcoming the people and Pastor Adam Miller of South Chatham Community Church opening in prayer. This was followed by a time of extended, powerful, and anointed worship led by Worship Pastor Rob Cumming and Worship Leader Lisa Hodges of New Life Christian Center. Pastor Seth Campeau of Calvary Chapel of Cape Cod shared a brief exhortation where he shared his testimony of coming to Christ when the Lord opened his eyes and touched his heart to see and understand the love of God. He exhorted us that in response to the love of God, we must respond by loving Him back and be careful not to lose our first love (Revelation 2:4), and also by extending the love of Christ to others. He reminded us that we are all one body and one family. We were then reminded that all of God's expressions of His relentless love and pursuit of us in the Scriptures, all of His promises and blessings, both in the Old and New Testaments, come in the context of Israel being prone to wander, and that we in the New Testament, are not unlike Israel, are also prone to wander, but the love of Christ is greater still. We then read part of the old hymn, The Love of God is Greater Far: Could we with ink the ocean fill And were the skies of parchment made Were every stalk on earth a quill And every man a scribe by trade To write the love of God above Would drain the ocean dry Nor could the scroll contain the whole Though stretched from sky to sky This was followed by a time of pastors present leading in prayer for revival on Cape Cod, for multitudes on the Cape to be touched by the love of God and come to Christ. The prayer time was facilitated by Dr. Mamdouh Riad of the GOGCC team, and was mingled with worship as the Spirit led. We then broke into small groups and prayed along the same theme. Pastor Mike Allen of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Sandwich closed the gathering in prayer. We will gather again next month in Hyannis: GOGCC Worship and Prayer Gathering Sunday August 14, 2022 4-6 pm Hyannis Village Green 367 Main Steet Hyannis, MA 02601 Here is the Facebook Event Page. Join us and invite your friends! We look forward to seeing you then! Blessings, The Glory of God on Cape Cod team
This is a lovely record of a lovely prayer meeting, but there is nothing like actually being there and sensing the love of GOD and seeing the smiles, and hearing the greetings, and enjoying the fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a 108 mile round-trip for me but well worth the effort to be there! Hope and pray that many, many more Believers will attend the next Prayer Meeting in Hyannis. Until then, may GOD bless us every one, in Jesus Name, Amen. Mari
Thank you for this encouraging report. Maybe we can see similar gatherings on Cape Ann! Every Blessing to you all!
