Report on the October GOGCC Prayer Meeting at Calvary Chapel Cape Cod

by Silas Coellner on October 30, 2017
Dear Saints,

Calvary Chapel Cape Cod was blessed to host our first Glory of God on Cape Cod meeting last Wednesday.  Despite the torrential down pour, many of you filled our sanctuary with beautiful voices worshipping Jesus.  Thank you for the fervent prayers and heartfelt encouragement to me as well as to one another.

The message I shared was from 1 John 4:7-12.   Our love for one another is powerful in encouraging the body of Christ as well as reaching the lost.  Let us carefully examine our hearts and not be in competition with one another in anyway.  I shared about the missionary Don Richardson’s experience with tribal warfare and how the offering of the “peace child” finally brought peace to the people he was desperately trying to reach with the gospel.  Of course, the ultimate peace child is our Lord Jesus.  “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

God bless you all and I look forward to being with you at our next gathering!

The next meeting:
11/15 at Redemption Rock Church in Chatham
