This Wednesday 2/23/22: GOGCC Cape-Wide Worship and Prayer Gathering at Gateway Christian Center
by The GOGCC team on February 21, 2022
"The Lord is my song" (Exodus 15:2, Psalm 118:14)
Dear friends,
Looking forward to seeing you this Wednesday 2/23/22 for our monthly Cape-wide gathering of worship and prayer, as we come together from different churches, denominations, backgrounds, ethnic groups and generations, as one body of one family, to gather around the Lord together and worship Him in one voice, both in worship songs and in prayer.
We will gather at:
Gateway Christian Center
4966 Falmout Road
Cotuit, MA 02635
6:30 - 8:00 pm
The Lord continues to stir us with the theme, "The Lord is my song".
We continue also to be stirred to give room to the Holy Spirit's leading at our gatherings, and not have a heavily pre-scripted or overplanned gathering. We want to balance having biblical order in our gatherings as the Scripture teaches, and giving room for the Holy Spirit's leading at the same time. Jesus is the Lord and host of these gatherings and we are his guests. We seek to discern and follow His direction and go with the flow of the Holy Spirit.
A.W.Tozer articulated this concept well in an article titled: Organization: Necessary and Dangerous from his book, God Tells the Man Who Cares:
"The man who would oppose all organization in the church must be ignorant of the facts of life. Art is organized beauty; music is organized sound; philosophy is organized thought; science is organized knowledge; government is merely society organized. And what is the true church of Christ but organized mystery?
Christians have tended to err in one of several directions because they have not understood the purpose of organization or the dangers that attend to it if it is allowed to get out of hand. Many church groups have perished from too much organization, even as others from too little."
There are many passages in the Scriptures both in the Old and New Testaments that speak of God's people gathering before Him. When we read these accounts at face value, these gatherings do not seem to be overly planned or heavily scripted. They seem rather to be genuine spontaneous interactions between the Lord and His people, and that is what we are stirred to cultivate in these gatherings.
We warmly invite you to join us! Spread the word and invite your friends!

We look forward to seeing you!
