Understanding Our Times: Reflections on Psalm 2

by Mike Bickle on January 13, 2015

"You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not know how to discern the times? " Luke 12:56

Dear brothers and sisters,

Grace and peace to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

As you know the Scriptures repeatedly exhorts us to have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. It clearly contrasts for us people and generations who understood their times, such as the sons of Issachar who are described in God's word as having "Understood their times and knew what Israel ought to do." (1 Chron 12: 32), and people and generations who didn't; Jesus wept over Jerusalem because "You did not know the time of your visitation."( Luke 19:44)

Hearing what the Holy Spirit is saying in not a pentacostal thing or a charismatic thing. It's the people of God thing. Jesus said "My sheep hear My voice." (John 10:27)

I would like to share this recent message below with you. You may or may not have heard of Mike Bickle from the International House of Prayer (IHOP), and you may or may not be particularly interersted in what he has to say. Nevertheless, he is one of those national voices, and I thought I'd share it because I think it is interesting and thought provoking. You can examine it and come to your own convictions:
