Invitation to the October GOGCC Prayer Meeting at Cape Cod Church

by Brittany Feldott on October 1, 2019
Good Afternoon Everyone,

Cape Cod Church is so looking forward to hosting the next Glory of God on Cape Cod prayer meeting, in just two short weeks! We will meet in Falmouth on Wednesday, October 16, from 6:30 to 8pm (please note this is earlier in the month than usual), for a time of worship, private reflection, communal prayer, and of course - refreshments!

I am personally looking forward to this evening, as an opportunity to celebrate unity that transcends denominational distinctions; compassionately serve our community by lifting them up in prayer; and instill renewed confidence among our church members in the power of the Gospel.

The GOGOCC's vision is to see spiritual renewal on Cape Cod through expectant prayer, and this month we want to focus on a  theme within that vision: family. We recognize that family dynamics often bring seasons of tension, pain, or grief. As a unified Church we consider ourselves a family as well, and want to care for that need together! The October prayer meeting will center on the restoration of families in our community- in hopes that God would draw prodigal sons and daughters to Himself, through the fulfillment of this human need. In this way, we'll pray that practical healing might lead to spiritual revival- just as it often did in Jesus ministry. It's our hope and expectation that people would see concrete, tangible answers to these prayers as we thoughtfully head into the holiday season, equipped by the leading of the Holy Spirit. As 1 John 5:14-15 says:

"This is the confidence we have in God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him." let's join together, expectant for the transformation that comes through decades of prayer!

We welcome and encourage you to invite your older children or family members that might enjoy participating. At Cape Cod Church, we are specially inviting our teenagers and young adults to join- and we hope this is an evening that represents people of all walks of life and diverse heritage!

We hope you can join us in Falmouth for what is sure to be a powerful evening. The doors open at 6pm, and we welcome you to stop in early to catch up with friends and family in Christ. You can find directions here, and any trouble just give us a call at 508-540-6884.

In love,
Brittany and Pastor Ben
